Professional Books
I am currently reading…
Lost at Schoolby Ross Greene. I am actually reading this for an online moodle class!
Some of my recent reads include:
Motivating and Inspiring Teachers by Todd Whittaker. This book was read by K-12 principals, the superintendent, educational coordinator for technology, curriculum coordinator, special education director and superintendent. Todd Whittaker is one of my favorite authors. His style of writing is easy and jargon-free.
Some of my all time favorites include:
Pyramid Response to Intervention by Austin Buffum, Mike Mattos, Chris Weber This is a district-wide read this year. I loved it the first time I read it and am getting more information now that I am reading it a second time.
Annual Growth for all Students; Catch-Up Growth for Those Who are Behind by Lynn, Fielding, Nancy Kerr, Paul Rosier All K-6 teachers and administrators read this during the 2008-2009 school year. I am still hearing teachers say, “remember in the green book….”
Teaching Children to Care by Ruth Charney
