Meet Mrs. Doyen
I am pleased to be the principal of Greene Central School. I was formerly the principal of Leeds Central School. Being principal is truly a pleasure. (Degree: C.A.S. in educational leadership) Prior to being a principal, I was a literacy specialist. (Degree: Master’s in literacy) I have a strong background in designing instruction and assessments to enhance reading and writing skills. I was a classroom teacher for many years before I became a literacy specialist. (Degree: B.S. in elementary education) I have enjoyed all aspects of education.
I am married and have four children. We have two cats and a dog. I enjoy hiking, dancing, fishing, kayaking, camping, reading, and playing volleyball. My favorite food is salad. ( I know that’s odd but I really can’t help it!) I have been a vegetarian for 18 years and, just recently, decided to go vegan.
My favorite vacation has been to Florida with my family. I have also enjoyed visiting Europe. My dream vacation is to go to Alaska. I aspire to visiting all 50 states. Unfortunately, I have only managed about 1/5 of them so far.
